katie stockingKatie Stocking ’15, of Fitchburg, is designing a promising future for herself.  The incoming Becker College senior recently won a design competition held by Creative Quarterly, a journal dedicated to art and design. Stocking was named the winner for “Best Advertising: Student Category.”

Stocking, a graduate of Montachusett Regional Vocational High School, entered Becker’s graphic design program with a solid foundation of knowledge. “This immediately garnered her attention for her work, but it is what she had done while at Becker College that is so impressive,” said her graphic design professor, Kat Andler, adding that Stocking has expanded her skillset to include software knowledge like web design and motion graphics. “Katie has worked hard and shown complete dedication to the program. She continues to hone her skills and challenge herself to achieve professional-level work. I have no doubt that Katie will not only be successful in the graphic design world, but that she will have a truly positive impact on it.”
