Five students in Becker College nursing programs are recipients of scholarships from the Fairlawn Foundation.

Shaina O’Brien, Brittany Tolman, and Shannon McGinn, students in the associate of science in nursing (ASN) program received $1,800 each.

Diana Piskala and Elizabeth Rekowski, students in the bachelor of science in nursing (BSN) program also received $1,800 each.

The Fairlawn Foundation is a longtime partner in supporting nursing education at Becker. Numerous students have enrolled in the Becker nursing program with the help of grants from the Foundation’s Nursing Pipeline Consortium. In 2006, Becker dedicated the Fairlawn Foundation Nursing Laboratory in its Health Sciences Building on Sever Street, overlooking the Worcester quad. The Fairlawn Foundation awarded the college a generous grant to help underwrite the development of the bachelor of science in nursing program, which began enrolling students in 2007. The first class of BSN students is due to graduate in May 2009.
