Constitution Day, Thursday, September 17

Published on Wednesday, September 16th, 2009

The United States Constitution is the cornerstone of our government, of our country. Yet, many of us have forgotten what we learned in school about the Constitution, or may not have been paying attention. It is a document about which citizens, from lawmakers to homemakers, have a broad range of opinions. People are talking about the Constitution a lot now, in light of financial reform and health care reform.

While the Constitution is a recurring character in many classrooms, on one day a year, Constitution Day, it takes center stage. Becker College is commemorating Constitution Day with a program featuring resident Constitutional scholar, Dr. James Belpedio, professor of history and government.

The Becker community is invited to attend "Facts and Myths About Our Constitution" on Thursday, Septemeber 17, at 2:00 p.m. on the third floor of the Health Sciences Center on the Worcester campus.
