Club Plans Big Benefit Concert This Week

Local animal shelters are full of homeless pets. The Rover Rockfest, Thursday, March 27, 8:30 p.m. at Mill Street Brews (www.millstreetbrews.com), 18 Mill Street, Southbridge, Mass. was organized by members of the Becker College Animal Health Club to bring relief to those animals.

The concert features local bands Forgo Famine, Full Tilt, Promised Eden, and Year of the Cow.   This is an 18+ event.

Tickets are $6 in advance or $8 at the door and are available from the bands, online (www.ticketweb.com), or from an Animal Health Club member. Shuttles will run periodically throughout the night from both the Becker Leicester and Worcester campuses.

The public is encourage to bring an item to donate to the shelters to receive a free raffle ticket. Some items that are needed by local shelters are: dog toys, cat houses and toys, leashes, collars, gentle leaders, dog and cat food.

Rover Rockfest is just one of several events and fundraisers organized by the Animal Health Club throughout the year. The club is dedicated to helping local shelters care for and promote the adoption of homeless pets.

The Animal Health Club enlisted the help of Dritnap Productions, of Oxford, Mass. to help promote the event. Dirtnap represents several local bands and performance acts, and provides event planning, event support, web design services.
