The Becker College equestrian team is getting a leg up on the usual top performing college teams. After the third competition of the season on October 21 at Williams College, Becker is seated third, with 89 points, behind UMass Amherst (112) and Mount Holyoke College (104).

Becker received the second place reserve champion ribbon for the second week in a row; the third time in the history of the team.

At UMass Amherst on October 14, Becker was leading after winning all three of the over fences classes. The U Mass team used their home court advantage to move into first place (41 points), with Becker holding on to a firm second place finish (34 points) ahead of the strong Mount Holyoke National Championship team (31 points).

On September 23, the Hawk equestrians traveled to Roanoke, Va. to compete in a Pre-Season Classic Tournament. Freshman Courtney Dinan had an over-the-fences win. The first time competing at this level, the small Becker team placed seventh, with 23 points, out of sixteen teams.
