The redesigned Becker College website, launched in January 2012, received a 2012 WebAward for Outstanding Achievement in Web Development, by the Web Marketing Association.

The site includes virtual tours, interactive campus maps, numerous videos, photo galleries, and profiles, which showcase the College’s nationally recognized academic programs, athletics, faculty, students, and alumni. The new site offers easier navigation, compelling content, and more dynamic functionality. The restructured information architecture and new design allows visitors to navigate the site more intuitively.

Over the course of 15 months, Becker students, faculty, and staff joined the College’s Office of Marketing & Strategic Communications in working countless hours to produce the new site, which is well over 1,000 pages and effectively conveys the College’s excellence to thousands of new visitors.

“The update of our website reflects the many exciting developments that are happening right now at Becker College,” says Dean Hickey, vice president of institutional advancement, who had oversight of the redesign project. “It better demonstrates the College’s commitment to providing a transformational learning experience rooted in academic excellence, creative expression, and social responsibility for each student—while providing a new vehicle to celebrate what’s happening at Becker each day within our community and around the world.”

The work of Erjon Metohu ’08, founder of Eri Design, was instrumental in launching the site; Metohu continues to contribute his design and development skills to as a web consultant. Also sharing in this recognition is the student development team, now alumni: Megan Blais ’12, Eric Doan ’12, Amanda Veroneau ’12, and Ben Wojnarowicz ’12.
