President Johnson will present the opening session, “The New Normal: The World Has Changed, and There Is No Going Back,” on November 2. He will be the keynote speaker at Reverse College Day, an event for high school counselors to meet and speak with admissions reps from about 100 colleges and universities and learn more about their institutions, on November 3.

“The New Normal,” uses educator and innovator Scott McLeod’s “Shift Happens” video to illustrate the increasing rate of change in our lives, and throughout the higher education landscape. President Johnson will discuss what the global economy means for young adults and how it impacts their college and career choices, how we can all manage through change in a frenetic and sometimes perplexing society, and how colleges can help students navigate and succeed in a transforming world.

In his keynote presentation, President Johnson will address the topic of leadership and how employees at all levels within an organization can lead during difficult times.

A powerful speaker, skilled in strategic management, President Johnson believes in the power of transformational leadership, possibility thinking, and building partnerships and collaborations. Since taking the position as tenth president of Becker College in July 2010, he has raised the college’s institutional profile and challenged the college community to educate students who can compete in a global society.
