Beat Generation Expert Professor Ward Interviewed

Published on Wednesday, October 3rd, 2007

It’s the 50th anniversary of Lowell, Mass. native Jack Kerouac’s life-altering novel On the Road. Among all the people talking about Kerouac and the other Beat Generation luminaries is Becker’s associate professor of art, Dawn Ward, Ph.D. She has written and spoken extensively on art and the Beat Generation and is currently at work on two manuscripts.

Earlier this year, Dr. Ward was interviewed on NPR station WUKY “about the Beat Generation and how they changed the art world." Visit the Tonic website, the University of Kentucky, Lexington’s music and arts magazine, to listen the interview.
