About MASS Impact

MASS Impact is a leadership forum series for conversations, discussions and initiatives related to areas of academic excellence at Becker College. The first forum focused on Becker’s video game design program. Upcoming forums are expected to focus on veterinary and animal sciences, nursing, criminal justice and athletics.

On October 19, 2010, Becker hosted “MASS Impact: Video Games, Economic Development and Job Creation”. Over 125 academic, government and business leaders gathered together to talk about the future of the video game design and development industry in Massachusetts. As an outcome of the work of Mass Impact, in spring 2011, Becker College was designated by the Patrick-Murray administration as the location of the Massachusetts Digital Games Institute (MassDiGI).
