An informative and thought-provoking workshop entitled “The Benefits of Education” will be offered through the Webster Adult Basic Education program on Tuesday, May 7, 2013 at 6 PM.  This workshop will be held at Bartlett Jr/Sr High School located at

52 Lake Parkway in Webster and will be presented by Charise Wilson from Becker College. This workshop is free and is open to any adult who wishes to attend.

The Benefits of Education workshop participants will explore educational options that are designed and customized for working adults who are looking for career advancement.  The value of a college degree and how it can be achieved through flexible scheduling options created specifically for adult learners will be discussed.  This workshop will focus on how adults can earn a degree at any time in their lives, how a college degree increases earning potential, and how education can help adults achieve greater economic stability and security for themselves and their families. We will discuss additional supportive services that are available to assist adults in this process.

Our presenter, Charise Wilson, is currently an Admissions Counselor and Community Liaison in the Center for Accelerated and Professional Studies at Becker College.  She was formerly a career services and workforce development director in higher education for over 11 years.  Her prior experience includes creating and facilitating effective student and professional development workshops as well as securing student externships and employment opportunities.
