Dedication of Becker College’s Peace Poles from the World Peace Sanctuary
Friday, November 1
Weller Quad, Worcester Campus
We are pleased to announce that the College is installing on each campus a Peace Pole from the World Peace Sanctuary. You are cordially invited to attend the dedication of the Peace Poles, which will take place at the Worcester Campus.
A Peace Pole is a handcrafted monument that displays the message and prayer May Peace Prevail on Earth on each of its sides in different languages. There are tens of thousands of Peace Poles in 180 countries all over the world, an internationally recognized symbol of the hopes and dreams of the entire human family, standing vigil in silent meditation for peace on earth.
This campus initiative for sharing in the visualization for world peace is part of the College’s participation in the 10th cohort of the American Council on Education’s Internationalization Laboratory and reflects the College’s mission and core values.
All students, faculty, and staff are invited to attend and participate in the ceremony. Twitter users are encouraged to tweet using #PeacePole.
