Information for Accepted Students

Congratulations! You have already been accepted to Becker College. Now what? Follow the remaining steps to finalize your enrollment.

Step 1: Pay Your Deposit

After you are accepted, you have until May 1—or thirty days after your acceptance (whichever is later)—to pay your $300 deposit. Deposits are nonrefundable after May 1

Step 2: Financial Aid

To be eligible for the most aid, the Office of Financial Aid recommends submitting your FAFSA to the federal government by the end of January. Award packages will be mailed after mid-March.

Step 3: Housing

Housing is available on a first-come, first-serve basis. If you are interested in living on campus, you should submit your housing form, along with the $100 housing deposit, as soon as possible. Housing deposits are nonrefundable upon submission.

Step 4: Health History

Health history forms and information are sent with your acceptance packet. This form must be signed by both you and your doctor and returned no later than July for a fall semester start.

Step 5: Accuplacer

Incoming students to Becker College will complete the Accuplacer as part of new student assessment. The placement testing scores are not part of admission to Becker College, but are an assessment of the student’s current skill level and therefore part of the registration process. The placement test scores help us register students in appropriate courses. Students who are required to take some, or all, of the placement test must do so prior to attending an orientation program.

• New students with no previous college experience will be required to take assessments in reading, writing, and mathematics.
• Transfer students will be evaluated for placement testing requirements. Parts, or all, of the test may be waived, depending upon the student’s college course work and chosen major. Step 6: New Student and Parent Summer Orientation Program

We are eager to welcome all new students and their families to Becker College. Our New Student and Parent Summer Orientation Program offers a number of events and activities that will help you feel right at home at Becker. You will have the opportunity to meet others who are new to Becker as well as our students, faculty, and staff. Our orientation program is the best way to start off your Becker College experience, and we strongly urge you and your family to attend.

Step 7: Tuition Bill

The Office of Student Accounts will mail payment instructions in mid-July to students who attended summer orientation and registered for classes. Payment is due in early August.
