Mary Ellen Davis, M.S., Ph.D., began her career at Becker College as an adjunct faculty member in 1995 and advanced to full-time professor of biological sciences in 1997. An undergraduate of the University of Vermont in physical therapy, she holds a master of science in biology, with a concentration in physiology, from the University of Connecticut and a Ph.D. in biology from Brown University, where she concentrated in the study of neuroscience. Dr. Davis teaches general biology, biochemistry, cell biology, and brain and behavior with students enrolled in all disciplines of the College.
Prior to joining the faculty at Becker College and beginning her graduate studies, Dr. Davis worked in the field of physical therapy for several years. While enrolled in graduate work, she worked at both the University of Connecticut and Brown University as a teaching assistant and research assistant.
