Professor of Medical/Surgical Nursing
Enoh Ukpong, Ph.D., RN, joined the Becker College Department of Nursing in 2001 as a member of the adjunct faculty; she advanced to full-time faculty in 2005.
Prior to her career at Becker College, Professor Ukpong worked in several nursing positions, from administration to clinical nursing care, in hospitals (City Hospital, UMass Medical Center, Whittier Rehabilitation Hospital, Saint Vincent Hospital, and AdCare Hospital) providing long-term care, home care, and maternal and child care. Professor Ukpong has managed many normal pregnancies and deliveries.
She graduated from Wusasa School of Nursing, an affiliate of Ahmadu Bello University Zaria in Nigeria. Professor Ukpong then attended midwifery school at Ramat Specialist Hospital (now Queen Elizabeth Hospital Umuahia) in Nigeria. She continued her education in the United States, and she earned a bachelor of science degree in public health and a master's of science degree in nursing at Anna Maria College. She went on to earn a doctorate in Health and Human Services from Columbia Pacific University.
Professor Ukpong also serves as a volunteer CPR instructor for Saint Vincent Hospital.
