Dr. Brown joined Becker College in 2004 as an adjunct faculty member. She is an instructor in the clinical nursing laboratories for the Associate Degree Program and a lecturer and clinical facilitator in the RN to BSN program. Prior to joining the faculty at Becker College, Dr. Brown served as a clinical instructor, practicum mentor and lecturer at Regis College in their Bachelor of Science Nursing Program and Master of Science Nursing Program. She began her career in nursing education as an instructor at the Massachusetts Bay Community College in the Practical Nursing Program. Her clinical interests include family centered care, disparities in care and health promotion. She holds a certification in pediatric nursing and has extensive experience with community based care, quality improvement, and disease management.

Dr. Brown is a proud graduate of Becker College’s Nursing Program. She completed her Bachelor’s Degree at Worcester State University with a minor in health education. She holds a Master of Nursing Degree from Regis College, with a focus on Nursing Administration, where her research was focused on nurse autonomy and empowerment. In 2012, she was awarded a Doctor of Nurse Practice Degree specializing in Nursing Education, from Regis College; her research focus included Transition to Practice of the Newly Licensed Registered Nurse, interpersonal communication and essential components for role development in the newly licensed registered nurse.
