When she was a Becker College student, Kayla began working part-time at Cottage Hill Academy. Upon graduation, she transitioned to a full-time position as a clinical counselor, helping clients better understand their attitudes and patterns of behavior and guiding them toward productive and healthy ways of dealing with their emotional and behavioral issues.
During her time at Becker College, Kayla worked as a teacher’s assistant at the Curious Kids of Hudson program and interned at the Robert F. Kennedy Children’s Action Corps. She also participated in the Project Bread—Walk for Hunger, walking twenty miles on the first Sunday of every May to raise money for those unable to provide for themselves or their families, and in the Light the Night—Walk for Autism, which supports and raises money for those affected by autism.
