Elementary Education Concentration

New students are no longer being accepted into this program.

Education is the cornerstone of society, which means good teachers are vital to our communities. Teachers must have a love of learning, the ability to communicate well, the desire to understand each student’s educational and emotional needs, the ability to inspire trust and confidence, and a commitment to motivating students to achieve their highest potential.

The Becker College elementary education concentration within the liberal arts program educates students to become classroom leaders. The elementary education concentration is a licensure program approved by the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education that provides preparation for certification to teach grades 1 through 6 in inclusionary classrooms. All of the Becker College elementary education concentration courses are designed to meet criteria set by the National Standards and the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education Standards.
