Bachelor’s degree in computer game design

computer game design major Nathen CasimiroIn high school, Nathen Casimiro learned that he felt energized in small, team based projects that allowed him to be creative. He was not built for large lecture halls and professors who only knew him by an ID number and not his name. He enjoys art and technology so the game design program at Becker College was the perfect fit for Nathen.

Nathen is a rising star in the program. A proud owner of a 3.9 GPA, his future is bright. “Ideally, I would like to work for a small independent gaming company, or create a Massively Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game (MMORPG) that rewards players with small donations to different charities, instead of irrelevant stuff like in-game costumes or pets, which have no actual impact on the real world,” he said. He was also president of Becker’s first-year honor society, a tutor in the collaborative learning center and the recipient of the Llew Evans Scholarship.

“It’s knowing what conditions you like to work in, what type of personalities you work well with, what actually motivates you to do something, and what you actually enjoy doing,” said Nathen. “When I had a better understanding about that sort of stuff, that’s when I started looking for a game design program like the one at Becker.”
