Roseline HernandezSenior Roseline Hernandez lights up the world with her smile.  Her passion for Becker College is only matched by her compassion for others. She has taken her desire to help those in need by showcasing global citizenship at the college.

Roseline chairs the UNICEF club, and served as the chair for the Becker College Honduras trip.

“I love everything about these groups because their main goal is to help those in need.”  At UNICEF, Roseline raises money for children in need. Through Habitat for Humanity, she has helped build houses for the homeless. While in Honduras, she volunteered at the Monte Horab Center. The Center is home to an educational project for at-risk youth, and provides opportunities for those who cannot complete their studies because of economic limitations. She assisted in classrooms, tutored students, planned recreational activities, led workshops, and worked side by side with friends in need.

In the classroom, the criminal justice major is devoted to finding the truth about crimes and the reasons behind them.  Her devotion in and outside of the classroom personifies the Becker spirit.

As Roseline said, “it feels so great to put all your energy into a project, even if it is hard at times. It’s so rewarding to know that you helped someone.”
