The management concentration requires students to take courses that include accounting, financial management, managerial decision making, human resources, organizational behavior, leadership, and business strategy. Students also have the opportunity to take electives in their specific areas of interest.
Yes. The management concentration requires students to do an internship that will provide on-site training in the student’s area of interest. Students do internships in a wide variety of organizations, including museums, hospitals, restaurants, retail businesses, the Special Olympics, the DCU Center, and a number of small, local businesses.
Graduates of the program have gotten jobs in companies ranging from Fortune 500 industries to small, local businesses, in positions that include project management, financial management, and customer service.
Yes! Students who wish to pursue overseas courses and programs may do so, provided that they are pre-approved by the Office of Career Services and that they meet Becker College’s requirements for transfer credits. For more information, visit the career services webpage by clicking here.
