Bachelor's degree in business administration with a hospitality and tourism concentration

Fabienne_Eliacin_hospitality_and_tourism_profileFabienne loves the hospitality industry. “The sky is the limit with this industry,” she says. “You will always need customer service wherever you go.”

While at Becker College, Fabienne enjoyed the atmosphere, the small classes, and her professors. She had the opportunity to intern for a semester at Disney World and study abroad at Grimbsy College in England. These experiences provided her with the opportunity to learn from leaders in the hospitality and tourism field, to explore the world around her, and to grow as individual.

After graduation, Fabienne worked at the Radisson Hotel for three years, using her management experience to move from a front desk agent supervisor to a housekeeping supervisor. She currently works at the InterContinental Boston as an engineering coordinator and team leader of the “Green Team.” As the “Green Team” leader, she has implemented a first-rate recycling program at the hotel and an 18 percent reduction in the amount of waste sent to landfills. These accomplishments earned her the 2009 InterContinental Boston Employee of the Year award.

Fabienne is also a strong advocate for community service. She is a member of Boston Mothers Care, a volunteer group that brings relief aid to Boston and Haiti.  Through this group, she brought clothing, shoes, and school supplies to an earthquake-ravaged village in Haiti. She is also a parent leader for Thrive and Five in the Dudley area, a parent coordinator for Box Top at the Gardner Pilot Academy School in Allston, and coordinator of the 2011 Motion Picture Association of Haiti Movie Awards.
