In our rapidly changing world, we are preparing graduates for jobs that do not yet exist and to solve problems we have yet to identify. Becker College thinks differently about teaching business. We prepare you to create value; for your future employers and for yourself. What does this mean?
Thought leaders, with an eye on the future, point out that you have access to more content and information from the phone in your hand than President Clinton had just twenty years ago. As a result, we don’t merely focus on teaching you content, or what you need to know. We teach you to think, to create, and to build new value, what to do with what you know.
At Becker, we call this approach to education the Agile Mindset. The Agile Mindset values learning over knowing and adaptability to complement planning and process with competencies in empathy, divergent thinking, an entrepreneurial outlook, and social and emotional intelligence.
Our business degree programs assume constant cycles of disruption, innovation, and change—just like in actual business markets. We look at real-world challenges in real-time business simulations through working with our company partners to give you the experiences you need to thrive.
LinkUP Business Mentoring
LinkUP (Linking Undergraduates to Professionals) connects you with your own personal business mentor. According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, more than 70% of jobs are found through networking. You begin networking on day one.
30 Strong Leadership Program
The top 30 business students at Becker are recognized as our “30 Strong.” This group receives an academic scholarship and participation in such exclusive activities as the power breakfast speaker series, company visits, and special projects with our corporators.
Barrett Center for Global Innovation and Entrepreneurship (BCGIE)
We created the BCGIE to honor alumna Colleen Barrett ’64, president emeritus of Southwest Airlines, by creating a center that fosters global innovation and entrepreneurship. Specific activities include:
