Since graduating from Becker College in 2011, Carrie has worked at Searsport Veterinary Hospital in Searsport, Maine, treating mostly cats and dogs—with the occasional rabbit or ferret. Carrie originally interned at the hospital during her summers away from Becker College, and it was her experience and education that transformed her internship into employment.

Carrie says, “I chose to get my major from Becker College because I was able to receive my veterinary technician degree while completing my requirements for veterinary school and graduate school.”  When she was a student at Becker, Carrie played on both the women’s lacrosse and field hockey teams, enjoying the camaraderie and challenges of collegiate athletics.

Carrie looks forward to a future caring for animals—like the Chinese Crested “Miss Millie” that is pictured with her.
