Alessandra LaTour is a certified veterinary technician with many years of experience in multiple aspects of veterinary medicine, including small- and large-animal medicine, laboratory animal research, practice management, and learning and development. She is also a registered assistant laboratory animal technician through the American Association for Laboratory Animal Science.

LaTour has a bachelor’s degree in chemistry from Wells College and a master’s degree in biotechnology from Worcester State University. She also completed several years of veterinary school at the Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine at Tufts University.

Passionate about veterinary technician education, LaTour joined the Becker College animal studies department in the fall of 2012 as staff veterinary technician and clinical instructor. Her professional interests include ultrasonography, dentistry, and the porcine species. LaTour highly values the importance of communication and perception in the veterinary workplace and has given presentations on this topic to other veterinary personnel.
