How It Works

1. You refer a friend to the Accelerated Program.

2. Your friend submits an online application for enrollment, indicates that he/she became interested in applying through a Becker student, and enters your name.

3. Once your friend is accepted, enrolled, and has completed a class, your friend will be considered a referral, and you will be issued your prize.

Description

Becker College’s Center for Accelerated & Professional Studies is always looking for new ways to reach new students and help them to further their careers by completing a degree or certificate program.  We know that our strongest advocates are our own students, and we are looking to reward current students, former students, and alumni who refer new people to Accelerated & Professional Studies programs.

That is why we have developed the “Be the Voice” program.  You will earn a prize for each person that you refer to Accelerated & Professional Studies programs.  As you refer more people, you earn bigger prizes.

Semester Drawing

Each of your first six referrals earns you a raffle ticket.  The prize for the raffle is a Kindle Fire HD tablet. One winner will be chosen at the end of each semester during the promotional period.

Program Rules

1. Referral Eligibility: All Becker College Center for Accelerated & Professional Studies current students, former students, and alumni are eligible to refer new students.  Becker College employees are able to refer students, however they are not eligible to earn prizes through this promotion.

2. The referral date cannot be earlier than the beginning of the promotional period: November 1, 2012.  The referral date cannot be later than the end of the promotional period: June 1, 2013.

3. The referral date is the date a new student’s application was submitted via the online application.  This is considered the referral date, as it initiates the referral promotion process.  The referral promotion process is completed when the new student is accepted, enrolled, and has completed a class through the Center for Accelerated & Professional Studies. When the referral promotion process is completed the new student is considered a referral for the purposes of this promotion, and the prize will be issued to the current student, former student, or alumna/us who referred the new student.

4. The referral must be a new student to Becker College’s Center for Accelerated & Professional Studies.  Students returning to Becker College’s Center for Accelerated & Professional Studies are not eligible to be considered as referrals.

5. The application completed by the referral student must be completed online.  Computers and Internet access are available on the Becker College campus and in the Center for Accelerated & Professional Studies for those who are unable to complete the online application at another location.

6. If the referral student enters more than one name when indicating that they became interested in applying through a Becker student, the only current student, former student, or alumna/us that will be considered for the referral program prize will be the first current student, former student, or alumna/us listed by the referral student.

7. Referral students must meet the same enrollment eligibility requirements as all other students applying for enrollment in Becker College Center for Accelerated & professional Studies programs.  They will receive no special consideration due to their referral student status.

8. The referral student must complete the referral promotion process as outlined within 180 days (6 months) of their referral date in order for a student referral prize to be earned by the referring current student, former student, or alumna/us.

9. All information regarding the application, acceptance, and enrollment decision process for the referral student will remain strictly confidential.

10. When a referral student indicates that they became interested in applying through a Becker student, the current student, former student, or alumna/us that is listed on the application will be verified by the Becker College Center for Accelerated & Professional Studies to ensure that they are a current student, former student, or alumna/us of the Becker College Center for Accelerated & Professional Studies.

11. Students will be notified that they have earned a referral prize by one or more of the following methods: phone call, email, U.S. mail, or face to face meeting.

12. All non-customized student referral prizes will be issued within 30 days of the referral prize being earned.  Customized student referral prizes will be issued as quickly as possible, but may take longer than 30 days.  Student referral prize notification will occur within seven (7) days of the referral prize being earned.

13. Some prizes have a customization aspect to them, such as the exclusive Becker College embroidered polo and the exclusive Becker College embroidered fleece jacket.  This is to allow the person who has earned a referral prize the option to choose from a predetermined style selection, size selection, and custom embroidery options.  This means that once a student has earned a prize, the delivery of a prize may be delayed if it is a customized prize.  In such a case, the prize will be delivered at the earliest possible date.  Delivery date will depend on the customization selections of the student.

14. Any disputes or interpretations of the program will be handled by the Becker College Center for Accelerated & Professional Studies.  The primary employee contacts for this promotion in the Center for Accelerated & Professional Studies are Denise Morgan (denise.morgan@becker.edu) and Ashley Ottman (ashley.ottman@becker.edu).  Please direct all questions, comments, or concerns to the primary employee contacts.  All questions, comments, concerns, disputes, or interpretations will be handled in a timely fashion.

15. Becker College Center for Accelerated & Professional Studies will be sharing information about this promotion using several social media outlets (Facebook, Twitter, Google+, Pinterest, LinkedIn).  Students who earn referral prizes and who win the Kindle Fire HD tablet through the raffle will be asked to have their photograph taken to be shared via social media.  Participation in this aspect of the promotion is voluntary and does not impact a student’s chance of earning a promotional prize or winning the Kindle Fire HD tablet raffle.
