This program will prepare you as an early education and care approved teacher of infants, toddlers and preschoolers in an early childhood center. As a graduate, you will be capable of planning and executing age-appropriate curriculum activities and demonstrating sound child development principles.
The liberal arts focused courses in this program increase individual knowledge and self-concepts, as well as transferability to a four-year college program in such related majors as elementary education, special needs education, child health work, child psychology and human resources. Internship opportunities will assist you in making career choices by providing opportunities to experience a variety of career options involving young children. Becker College partners with a number of child care centers with excellent and diverse child care programs to provide a valuable practicum teaching experience.
