SYE Learning Objectives

The focus of the SYE goals and activities revolve around the Becker College core values. The SYE at Becker College supports students as they strive to achieve the core values of excellence and accountability in the classroom, in the community, and abroad. Sophomores will participate in service projects that reflect the College’s support of the local community and display our core values of social responsibility, community,  and diversity.  In addition, the SYE will help students develop and support our core values of integrity and creative expression.

Learning Objectives:

• Establish personal identity and develop academic, social, and career purpose.
• Discover and utilize campus resources.
• Develop personal and professional relationships.
• Explore careers options and indicators.
• Explore the concept of community and diversity as a core value of Becker College.
• Increase self-awareness, emotional intelligence, and self-esteem.
• Apply skills for success as a global citizen.
