During their sophomore year at Becker College, students become part of the Sophomore Year Experience (SYE). The SYE incorporates specific programming, individual outreach, and important resources displayed and distributed to sophomore students.
The goal of the SYE at Becker College is to provide opportunities that will assist sophomores in having a successful year, continuing on to graduation, and fulfilling the College’s mission of thriving, contributing to, and leading in a global society.
The sophomore year can present students with many challenges. These include learning how to develop a deeper understanding of their major, finding the right classes, doing well academically, fitting in socially, and discovering and strengthening their self-identity.
The resources on this SYE site, along with various programs and services offered throughout the academic year, can help our sophomores navigate through their second year at Becker College.
While we are in the process of developing new programs for sophomore students, links to existing resources are outlined on this site. Events of particular interest to sophomores are posted on the SYE calendar. Students can check this website regularly for updates and photos from SYE events.
