Rich Davino is the director of the Center of Career Education & Advising and has worked in higher education for more than 20 years, with 14 years specifically dedicated to career services and internships. Prior to arriving at Becker College, he has served as the director of Career Planning & Internships at Dean College in Franklin, Mass. and director of Career Services and Employer Relations at Framingham State University in Framingham, Mass. Other direct experiences include: graduate programs at Boston University’s School of Management and associate director of Employer and Alumni Relations at Seton Hall University in New Jersey. Rich started his career in student affairs in Residential Life, serving at Binghamton University in New York, Assumption College in Worcesterm Mass., and Kean University in New Jersey. Rich has a master of science in counseling and bachelor of arts in speech communications, with a minor in industrial and organizational psychology, from SUNY Plattsburgh in New York. He is a member and leader in many professional organizations and has presented regionally and nationally on topics such as experiential education programs, internship field work course curricula, and mentorship.
Rich lives in Framingham with his wife, Deborah, and their children, Max and Rebecca. He is a huge science fiction fan so conversations regarding Star Trek and Star Wars (and more) are definitely encouraged. Rich is also not ashamed to admit he’s a lifelong fan of the New York Giants and Mets.
Leslie Germond is the assistant director for the Center of Career Education & Advising and is delighted to be at Becker. Leslie possesses a bachelor of science in Psychology from Springfield College in Springfield, Mass. with minors in business and rehabilitation. Leslie had a very successful career in the corporate world where she was a human resource practitioner within various high-tech and life science companies, and she had a passion for and expertise in the areas of training and development, career and performance coaching, employee relations, recruiting and organizational design. After 20-plus years in industry, Leslie decided to transition into higher education to put her HR knowledge and corporate experiences to good use within the college setting. She is eager to help students transition into their life after Becker and looks forward to bringing employers and students together.
Leslie and her husband Michael live in Holden with their son Cameron. Leslie enjoys antiquing, hiking, traveling, biking, and yoga, but most of all she and her family have a passion for ice cream. Most Sunday evenings during the summer you can spy Leslie and her family at their favorite ice cream stand, Rota Spring farm, in Sterling!
